I have been lucky enough to work with a range of great clients helping them to make the most of their membership proposition. Below is what they have to say about me:
Engaging emails in-house training using Mailchimp
“…We contacted Abby, to deliver a training course for staff on developing engaging emails using Mailchimp. The course was a blend of thinking about the high level objectives and the functional steps needed for creating our emails. She then took us all through a practical session using Mailchimp. Staff enjoyed the course and it has provided us with a good base from which to develop our new email approach. Abby put a lot of time and thought into tailoring the training for our audience, which meant that the terminology she used was relevant.
I’d highly recommend Abby to any organisation wanting to review its e-communications and needing straightforward, expert, advice.”
Consultancy for new membership scheme
Abby also wrote a report for our trustees, to enable us to consider next steps and areas of development and improvement.
I have been exceptionally grateful for Abby’s input and impressed by her knowledge – Thank you Abby.”
Marketing strategy and plan for conference and exhibition
“We engaged Abby to give us a fresh perspective on the marketing of the British Dental Conference and Exhibition. She was able to get to grips with a complex and multi-faceted event very quickly and provided us with a clear and effective marketing strategy and detailed marketing plan designed to help us achieve our business objectives”
Membership Communications project
“We engaged Abby to help us develop a communications campaign for our members focusing on a series of board-led membership changes that we needed to implement. Abby helped us design the campaign including producing a flyer and related material to help inform our members about the changes across a period of a few months. When we had previously done something similar we received a high level of queries, this time the main feedback was positive comments from members. We were delighted with the outcome of what we consider to be a highly successful campaign.”
Member research project
“I worked with Abby as we recently commissioned Optimist Consulting to undertake a research project looking at IOP’s early career members across a 3 month period. Abby was very straightforward to work with and under considerable time pressure produced an excellent piece of work. There were several barriers on the IOP side that needed to be overcome for the project to be a success. Abby remained patient and accommodating throughout and I would have no hesitation in recommending Optimist Consulting for future work.”
“We asked Abby to support us with strategy and tactical marketing help for our members’ accommodation. We wanted to share our 11 bedroom resource, Rooms On Regent’s Park, with a wider audience at the weekend when members needed it less. Abby has helped us with our re-brand, reviewing our customer experience and increasing our direct marketing efforts for the accommodation. We are very pleased with the 16% resulting rise in revenue over the year and greater awareness of our facilities. I enjoyed working with Abby and look forward to working with her again on future projects.”
Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG)
“Abby led the development and launch of our Members’ Area website, which has improved the process for our members especially around event bookings. She has edited and collated a number of our publications which are an important communications channel for us. She also led on the production of a very well received sold-out conference on behalf of a trio of Livery Companies. I am very pleased with Abby’s work.”
The Clothworkers’ Company (Livery Company)
Membership structure research
“We commissioned Abby to carry out a research project into different membership structures of other organisations in Australia. She produced a comprehensive report which included lots of suggestions for development which helped inform our thinking about the future direction of the NSAA. Many thanks.”
National Speakers Association of Australia
Marketing and member communications
“Abby has provided the IBMS with a range of support including the development of a marketing strategy, the commissioning of our first members’ survey and then the development of our work programme to deliver improvements to the membership offering. She also recently carried out a feasibility study into new markets which provided our Council with a number of ideas to take forward as part of our international strategy”.
Jill Rodney, CEO, Institute of Biomedical Science.
Membership research and membership communications development
“I asked Abby to undertake a research project with our organisational member base. This is an important segment of our membership, so it was useful to collect their feedback in a structured way. Following the research, Abby worked with us to review our membership communications and processes. It has been helpful to take a step back and think about what we could do differently, and Abby’s input has been extremely helpful. Abby’s professionalism makes her a pleasure to work with.”
Membership research and development report
“The Committee of the ERA wanted to gain feedback from our members on how we should be developing as an organisation. We commissioned Abby to carry out a telephone survey with members and to report back with recommendations. We were really pleased with the practical report she delivered, she went beyond the brief and has provided us with clear actions and lots of ideas.”
Executive Research Association
“It was excellent working with Abby. Bringing an objective, totally neutral perspective into our research was helpful in getting a clearer idea of members’ thoughts and feelings on our offer and the way that we engage with them. The report that Abby produced has been important in shaping our thinking and laying the foundations for making changes in the future.”
